It is the path that was used to called the command. Sometimes, like when using aliases, the same click command may be called using different paths. In that case, the command is internally copied and another path is used.

That allows using all the features of clk that are related to path. Actually, most of the behavior of clk is related to this path notion.

  2. you create new commands (custom commands and aliases) using path,
  3. you create flowdeps using path,
