FleetingPeople in the web3 ecosystem claim that removing the intermediary should be important. That they should be master of their own value.
Yet, they don’t know how the cryptography behind it works and in the end depend on other kinds of intermediaries like metamask. One could say that metamask is open source, but it is known to obfuscate data hidden in the tool. Also, this is linked to the lettre de l’open source vs l’esprit de l’open source.
If you use metamask, then you use infura, another centralized intermediary.
