Printing a Unicorn and Discovering Support Structure

tag: learning 3D printing

I promised my daughter that I would print a unicorn.

I found this model on thingiverse.

It is great, but how is the printer able to make the parts without something below?

Actually, the slicer generate support structures to do this.

Note that this consumes PLA, so you may want to rotate the model to make it consume less.

trying with my new bambulab a1 mini

Using a 0.2mm nozzle and the fine preset.

The support got stuck and the horn broke very easily. I am a but disappointed. Yet, the remaining parts are very smooth.
