When people talk about NFT nowadays, they basically mean that they have some tokens of a certain type among a super category of tokens. In other terms, they have some amounts of some types of cards in a game with several types of cards.
In blockchain language, this is called a multi-token. I don’t know why people want to call that NFT, but it serves only the purpose of making the conversations difficult.
Indeed, there already exist in real life a word for people that collect stuff of a certain kind that belong to a super kind of stuff : collector. Actually, I have the feeling that people have been collecting stuff, like stamps, Champagne tap etc for a very long time, without the need to use some pedantic wording like fungibility.
I think that if we called NFT by their true meaning, that’s to say collections, the term would be much less fancy, but the conversations would be much easier.
