In GTD, projects are not ‘containers’ that hold tasks. They are placeholders to remind you of the outcome you are committed to at least once a week. This is I think one of the hardest things to learn about GTD

next-action is distinct and separate from this support material, and the best practice is to organize these onto context lists

if you have 2 projects that each have next-actions to buy items at the hardware store, you don’t want to have to pull out both project “plans” to figure that out while you’re at the store. You’ll see “buy lightbulbs” next to “buy concrete” on that list, and remember both while you’re there. You want the same kind of efficiency with all your next action lists.
