Product Goal (Scrum)

Fleeting

It is the sole vision1 toward which the scrum team moves in every action it takes.

Similar to a gtd goal or gtd vision. It gives a picture towards which you want to move, while not being clear or small enough to be a project.

It is the only self supporting item of the product backlog. All the other product backlog item are meant to support this goal.2

It contains the future vision of the product3. All the members of the scrum team should be able to close their eyes and describe what this future product will look like. At least, the product owner is responsible for giving the other members of the team enough details for this to be possible4.

It is not to be confused with the sprint goal, that is a narro
