Debate Should Be Iterativefleeting
During a debate, people seldom end up changing their mind. They only get some cognitive dissonance and are less certain about they ideas.
It takes time then to digest those uncertainty.
Hence, a debate should not take long, just enough to disturb the certainties. If the debating partner agree on the fact that the purpose of the debate is to collaboratively increase ones knowledge and ideas, at some early point in time, debating partners should realize they have to wait some time, may be a few days and schedule another debate another day to continue.
