To free our cognitive load, is desirable that stuffs are done automatically. But sometimes, this has a too high cost, either because it has so much false positive that you still have to correct its mistakes, or because it is too hard to put into place.

In such cases, using pseudo-automatic methods, like linters, is a good compromise.
