Printing a Battery Dispenser and Discovering Plane Cut

tag: learning 3D printing

I wanted to print those improved battery dispensers, but the size of my labists x1 mini is too small.

I cannot scale it down, or the batteries wont fit into it.

I found out this is a classical problem, solved using a plane cut.

In blender, this feature is called bisect.

I try to bisect on a large area to ease gluing them afterwards.

After two bisect action, you have a model ready to be printed.

Actually, I finally used another battery dispenser that not only fit into my printed but also provide nice extension mechanism.
